There are two basic times to enroll. Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) runs from October 15 through December 7. Some individuals may qualify for a Special Election Period (SEP), where they can enroll throughout the year. Reasons for qualifying for a SEP include but are not limited to:
You become eligible due to age or disability
You recently moved to a new service area
You qualify for extra help with your prescription drugs, also called Low Income Subsidy (LIS)
Are my Drugs covered? Medicare does not cover prescription drugs. You must enroll in a Part D Prescription Drug Plan while on Medicare. If you do not, a Late Enrollment Penalty may be assessed.
Can I see any Provider? There are all different types of Medicare plans; some of which require you see a certain network of doctors. There’s an array of PPO’s & HMO’s to choose from. Some require referral's and some do not. We can look up all of your doctor’s to ensure you find a plan that is right for you.
